Love is in the air! And all over our craft room… Thanks to these adorable Valentine’s Day tie dyed doilies!
By February, the kids are stir crazy from being inside and I’m pulling out any projects or toys that I have stashed away for emergency boredom.
This project is great because it keeps the kids busy for hours making multiple Valentine’s. And they LOVE dripping or painting with water and making a mess. I used a dropper but a paint brush would work great too! It’s also perfect for exercising those fine motor skills by coloring with markers, color bleeding, cutting, & letter practice. It’s also a great time to sit down and discuss Valentine’s Day and those that you love.
Here’s what you’ll need:
1. Color lace part of doily using markers
2. Drop water over marker. Let dry
3. Draw heart on construction paper. Cut out
4. Cut heart out
5. Cut dyed lace
6. Glue dyed doily lace to back edges of heart. Let dry
7. Write special message
All you need are a few basic supplies and a little bit of creativity to make your Valentine’s Day extra love-filled and special.
If you need something to carry your Valentine swag, these Valentine’s Day Eraser Stamped Totes are both fashionable & functional. And this super adorable String Art Heart Light is sure to add sparkle to your holiday (or everyday!) decor.
