Now that the holidays are behind us and packed away in the basement, it’s time to think about the next holiday – the holiday of love. Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays for not only my husband and I to celebrate our love, but also to show the kids a little extra love and attention. It is a great occasion to plan some fun activities, meals and a craft – such as this awesome eraser-stamped tote bag!
The night before Valentine’s Day, the kids help us make a heart shaped pizza and we prep for school parties by making our valentines, treats, and this cute eraser-stamped tote to carry all the V-Day swag to and from school.
You know I will use any holiday and/or occasion to craft with the kids. It teaches them motor and communication skills they will use throughout their lives – plus it’s a great excuse to just sit and enjoy time together. This project is one of my favorites because it can be altered to fit just about any holiday or theme. For St. Patrick’s Day, a four leaf clover on a t-shirt would be super festive. Or… bats for a superhero themed birthday? The possibilities are endless!
Here’s what you’ll need:
1. Print and cut heart from provided template or freehand draw and cut desired shape.
2. Position template on tote.
3. Dip eraser in paint and dab around heart template.
4. Let dry.
5. Remove template.
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!
