Easter is a fun time to celebrate family, faith and spring with crafts! This easy-to-make crown uses paper plates and can be completed in an hour or less. You can also get creative and change the “jewel” of the crown to a cross or a bunny, too! Let’s get started!
For this craft you will need:
Here is a handy video that will show you how to make paper plate Easter Crowns step-by-step! (Written directions follow.)
Step One: Draw an egg shape with the pencil in the middle of the paper plate. Make sure the bottom of the egg touches the rim.
Step Two: Fold the paper plate in half with the design on the outside. Using the scissors, cut around the rim of the plate leaving it intact, and then cut around the egg shape.
Step Three: Open the plate up- it should be in one piece! Now paint with your choice of colors. Just Add Imagination!
Step Four: After the paint is dry, coat the whole thing with white glue and add glitter. Skip this step if you like.
Step Five: Lift the egg upright and wear with pride! If the crown is too small, you can trim away more of the inside of the rim to make it bigger.
