Mother’s Day is right around the corner! What do you give that special lady in your life (besides wine)? Something handmade from the kids, of course! These Mother’s Day Painted Coasters are not only cute and guaranteed to make mom cry, they are actually useful, and best of all, a rainy day afternoon time-filler!
This project is great for any age to experiment with paint colors and textures. Just about any utensil will work! Kids will love to use a paint brush, cotton swabs, and especially their fingers! My kids also love to use their scissors to cut tape, and then apply it to anything they can. It’s very abstract, you really can’t make this project look bad! But we’re counting on your assistance, Dad! 😉
This is also a great time to talk about what makes Mom and Grandma special. What do you appreciate about them and how do they make you feel special? It’s your turn to spoil them!
Here is what you’ll need:
1. Add strips of tape to tile as desired.
2. Paint on tile, over tape, using paint brush, cotton swabs, or fingers! Let dry.
4. Remove tape.
5. Apply clear sealant. Let dry.
💐💖 HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY 💖 💐
While you have the paint supplies and tape handy, complete her home decor themed gift with this adorable Mother’s Day Painted Wood Wall Art. Or, if she’s the crafty type, hand lettering supplies or adult craft kits are always a smart choice. As a mom myself, these are things I like but typically don’t purchase for myself. Let me say it again, spoil her! And don’t forget the wine! 😜
